As a PI in UCSD Sociology's Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship (RA) Program, I am fortunate to work with several brilliant RAs and to build a team from an early stage of my graduate career.
The current multi-phase research program studies how immigrants and their descendants form political attitudes and moral boundaries around issues such as immigration, nationalism, and polarization. The project draws on both large-scale survey data and qualitative materials (interviews, online discussions, and field observations) to understand how people talk, reason, and form opinions about belonging and exclusion. Stay tuned for more updates from IPC Lab.
